⏰ Working Hours: 07:30 - 14:45 (inclusive of 15 minutes break)
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Easter school Leads for our Easter school programme.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
As outlined in the full Job Description, your responsibilities will include:
General tasks
- Be mindful and respectful of resources and colleagues
- Share ideas, be collaborative and flexible to change
- Be enthusiastic and a team player
- Be kind, understanding and compassionate with children
- Engage in activities with the children and assist them during break times as needed
- Always act as a positive role model and leader
- Follow instructions of camp leader
- No use of mobile phone when around the children unless in an emergency
- Use of English is essential at all times, unless a child does not understand the language
Daily Responsibilities
- Check that children have all necessary items with them daily.
- Plan and lead the activities of the day, according to the programme and themes set by the camp leader.
- Set up activities by preparing materials in advance, maintain equipment and be organised.
- Help with the set-up of spaces as requested, as well as with any tasks asked of you in assistance with the children, including intimate care.
- Inform the camp leader of materials and consumables used, as well as any damages in writing at the end of each day.
- Set standards and norms of good practice and deal with any problems swiftly, fairly and appropriately. Inform camp leader immediately if anything serious occurs.
- Be reliable regarding communication, attendance and preparation.
- Be able to build good relationships with the children.
- Be vigilant, supervise and assist children during their break times. Mobile phone use is not permitted.
- Ensure all areas used are left clean and that children do not litter recreational areas or nature.
- Make sure children have all their personal items with them during departure.
- Collect all items left behind in the lost and found area assigned.
Health and Safety
- Ensure all children are accounted for at all times during the Easter school day.
- Daily management of food orders and good communication with canteen.
✅ Candidate Profile
Required:
- Enthusiastic, responsible, and passionate about working with children
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment
- Experience in education, youth programmes, or summer camps (preferred)
- Creativity and flexibility in planning engaging activities
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Good command of English (both spoken and written)
- Be available for meetings before 6th April.
- Be able to stay after 15:30 on 3rd April to set up.
- Be available after the children leave on 17th April for packing up.
Desired:
- First aid training or certification (an advantage)
- Safeguarding training (an advantage)
💼 Remuneration
Allowance for position will be a daily amount of €60 gross and bonus of €50 gross for those who complete all days. Remuneration will be given for the days worked before 6th April to prepare for Easter school.
